Hi, I'm somewhat new here, but I've been trying to get into VR, and while doing so I've been hearing some pretty bad things about certain groups, like (/vrg/'s?) halo discord, and the people who hang out there, (like that they're furries from /soc/, or pedophiles, or what not). Frankly, I'd like to avoid running into anyone like that if possible.
So I'd appreciate a QRD on what people are in that discord (What people I should be avoiding), and more importantly who the worst offenders are.

All you need to know for the QRD is that there is a group of people called "haloboys", some of which used to browse the thread years ago but 99% no longer do, and that their instances are infested with furries and offsiter randoms.
If you're in a VRChat instance and see a bunch of Halo avatars and furries then you're probably in one of their instances.
People from here still join on them sometimes since they used to be a part of this community but have since branched away into their own furry/rando hugbox.

If you don't care about that stuff though feel free to join and talk with them, no one's stopping you.

The thread is where people bitch anonymously because they got their feelings hurt. In game everyone tends to be chill and friendly, lots of people with niche interests just ready to info dump you. There is the occasional public melty but this is primarily a trash/ERP thing where people can’t keep their feelings in check. Avoid discord, play VR games and the worst that will happen is someone is rude to you because they are an autist with limited social skills (but that’s why most of us are here)

VR game lobbies posted in the thread are fine. Occasionally the bigger lobbies like NA drunk pavlov get a few undesirables, but it's a shooty game, so at worst you can mute their mic and shoot them all the same.

Vrchat events with instance links posted in the thread are also generally fine. There is more leakage, especially on weekends when people join on their friends, but as others say you can ignore people you don't like and/or leave the instance if the ratio of undesirables gets too high. That's a really nice part about social VR in general. Weird vibe? take off the headset and you're instantly back home. Real winners quit.

I'd surely appreciate it and maybe even buy it ~4 years ago, back when index finger tracking was making you drop your weapons in pavlov and VRC facial expressions were completely unpredictable. Consider adding pinehill to the map rotation. Or you / I can simply change the map to it as test to see if people think it's worth keeping.
It's one of the official maps that was purchased and ported from Quest in the lasted patch. Graphically it's a little low res and sparse but has decent baked lighting for PC. I've played it a few times on Quest and it seems to work well for S&D.
Foundation was also added but it's bland and feels oversized. Likewise Harbor is the opposite, looks good but is possibly too small, might still be worth trying though.

1) Private map - No code like the other older vaults (then place map link in the OP) I'm gonna compile a rentry of this soon
2) Public map - code only entry (with colliders disabled until code is placed)
3) Public map - code entry for a simple door blocker (can still cheat into it if code gets lost to time somehow)

Gonna do number (1) then and just have no code for this one. I'll just have the 4chan browser disabled by default where the event host needs to turn it on for the event.

Be careful about getting mad in pavlov, it might be unintentional. I can't hear half of shit people say, and I won't hear some stuff no matter how hard I try. Ok here's the breakdown on how to get your basic Snek girl up and running:

I don't think so. Look at results for quest pro. The difference between noiseless and noise is sub 5ms from overall latency of over 80ms.
