I've tried 2 of them
super cheap printed one off etsy (since i don't have my own printer)
and a fancier printed one from SkolVR

I didn't really like the cheaper one. It worked okay, and would definetly stabilize your rear hand, but it had no attachment for the front controller. Just a cup that you kinda hold the controller in when you want.

For the SkolVR one it uses magnets and is pretty great for any game where you're just shooting. I use it 100% of the time for contractors mods and pavlov stuff. It does however kinda suck in Exfilzone, since much of the game is grabbing shit and putting it in a backpack.
If I could go back and do it all over again I'd probably get one of the protube things since it has magnets on the front AND back, which, with a sling, would let me drop the stock and fuck with my backpack too.

tldr if you like breachers/og contractors/pavlov/vail or anything where you're mostly shooting i think they're great. I have shaky as fuck hands and it helps my aim immensely. Unfortunate that I'm having a lot of fun with exfilzone and it's a hindrance for most of that game.

As Protube owner - it also sorta sucks in Exfil. If you keep one attached it gets in way of looting and backpack tetris. If you detach both it's fine but attaching them back on takes much longer than with the top mounted ones.

UI radar are immersion breaking and basically cheating, but this guy will tell you verbally if someone is there on your right. Download, install, select Assetto Corsa in game list, press "Start application" and it should work!

I'm planning on setting the cutoff date early next week and allocate the actual time people are allowed to have. From my discussions with peers it seems 15 minutes is a good optimal time frame for most people. Always shied away from stocks because I'm a grenade lover and overly right handed but my shaky hands fuck me over for anything long range every time. I was thinking ideally I'd get one that was as small as possible and quick to drop entirely but I'm no engineer so I can't figure a design out. Maybe I could trial and error if I had a 3d printer.
I mostly play ITR, exfilzone, and pavlov. In pavlov I use grenades a lot so the stock would get in the way. ITR has good scope smoothing so I don't really need it. Exfilzone though I get blasted by other people at long range who I'm assuming are using a stock. My hands shake way too much to be able to hit at those ranges but they can just bean me easy. I'm patient to engage and am always careful to clear first before looting so there's always plenty of time between looting and combat (ITR habit).

My sniping without stock is to sit on the ground with one knee up, lock my forward arm's elbow and rest it on my knee. Main arm's upper arm is braced against my ribs and elbow pressed into my abs. Spine and neck hunched to get low enough to see down sights. Still wiggles a bit around main hand but it's about as stable as I can get it without being horrifically awkward. Otherwise I'm just trying to time my trigger pulls with my shakes.

Has anyone recently had issues with steamlink within the last week? My quest 3 no longer recognises my PC as able to stream VR. It has worked perfectly fine ever since steamlink came out on quest. PC is connected to switch connect to AP via cable and quest 3 accesses the network through that AP. Have confirmed all devices are on the same network, same gateway.

What's the appropriate attitude to have in regards to the hundreds of splinter discords that exist? I'm not in any besides the well known ones and whenever I hear about someone who owns one, someone that I care more about and feel I have a connection with, it kinda brings me back down to reality. I have a nice enough time with people in /vrg/ but it's pretty fucking pathetic that everyone belongs to multiple splinter discords while I'm just kinda here. It's like being an NPC. Someone else talked to me about it. I like them and thought other people did too. I just don't really get what I'm supposed to take away from it all. I've been to multiple IRL meetups which makes it all seem even more pathetic, like why am I even going to these events if people don't care enough to include me? Unironically, what should my takeaway be? Being here for years and somehow being this far on the outside of everything, why still be here and what hope can I have anywhere else? A community of 800+ people in /vrg/ can not be all your close friends just by the shear impossibility of time capacity a person has per person. I was in the same situation for multiple years, probably even worse. I stopped putting any effort in to it and have the same results (or lack of) for less energy wasted, which is a net gain. I don't think there's anything you can do to fix the lack of being naturally integrated into groups.
