I've been trying to optimize it a bit lately since bringing it back. Its still dynamic lighting for now, but no dynamic shadows at least. Since first making it, I learned about marking things static and culling and whatnot. still not sure if im doing that one right, but regardless, I'm looking into baking lights on it eventually. since I still havent tried that.

to meet up in virtualcast you need a totsu link/code.
If you join "alone" you can open your room to others and you'll show up randomly in the "let's totsu! thing."
However, if you fill the second tab with garbage and don't set a totsu name you'll be given a random code that you can use to have people join on you with.
I think there's a way to friends list but I'm not sure, it's still pretty early for the public client.
The business client supports a shitton of stuff though.

Pimax might actually be your best bet, they're making lighthouse knuckles clones right now, I wonder if they could be convinced to build some.
I've had and sold fbt once, once I realized knuckles would allow me to use my two vivemotes as trackers down the line.
I'm waiting for a fast camera only solution which will eventually be a thing. I've ran source from openCV here at work that does skeletal tracking BETTER than the kinect using a "find face first then determine body" method.
You could write a steamvr driver for that, it would be smarter to only track the bottom half of your body, and I suppose getting that tracking data is fairly easy. The trick is "marrying" that 6dof data to the steamvr tracking volume, because it doesn't know exactly where you're standing, it could use the head and hands as a hint though an you could tpose in.
The faster the framerate of the camera the better.
Video capture from hdmi/etc on a proper digital camera would be even better. 1280x720 max resolution though, those algos cry out in pain when you increase the image size, which is why kinect is 640x480.

This was a solution I have been looking into for some time. However since moving to a Vive, I found the XB1 Kinect to interfere far too much with it's stronger IR and make my controllers lose tracking too often.

Plus, strapping on rather oblong shaped devices to yourself was also a bit of a nuisance. You are also gambling on getting PSMoves that do not have the gyroscope disabled via firmware.

It's a lot of guesswork and in theory can work, but personally I think VR can already be enough of a headache that you should just buy trackers that just werk.

I refunded this shit after two hours. I hated it, it was so easy and the multiplayer is broken, both in matchmaking and the zombie's retarded AI. The "walking" zombies are so slow you can just go up to them, put your gun to their head, and pull the trigger. The "runners" are fucking slow too and you can headshot them by putting your gun elevated to your hip. Also the green shit that makes the zombies "harder" can basically be ignored. The gunplay in that game is also atrocious. The two weapon update gave no change in the weapons, you can still fire a rifle with one hand and it has the same recoil as if you were holding it with two. So, with nvidia's new driver supporting freesync, I've become interested in maybe pulling some adaptive sync bullshit on headsets in monitor mode.
I reverse engineered the nvidia module used for screen sync in my dk2 back in the day and it technically supports variable refresh rate in some ways.

reflex can look nice but it's inefficient if you're not utilizing all the sub-materials, matcap and other things.
It really depends on the LOOK you want to achieve. If you can get the same result from standard/specular, unitychan, xiexe, noenoe, mtoon (picking up light colouration, also having a toon ramp/shading, dynamic light) then you don't need reflex shader 2.
The problem with ALL shader config pages is it presents the variables from the shader's code, and people name things all sorts of crap based on what they want to call things or based on experience from other game engines.
One thing you CAN do is post the page here and I'll try to interpret some of it for you. You may want to try setting the module to debug mode so I can see what it's actually affecting.
The best way to understand a shader is reading through the unity shader documentation on a particular setting or to install ShaderForge and take a look and see what each thing does, but post it here and I'll try to break it down like I did with mtoon.

Turn object shadow off as in several worlds and situations you'll just be in full shade all of the time. Set up your toon ramp by setting half lambert from 0-10 and set the 2 colours. 10 is sharper, 0 is smoother. Set a different toon ramp for skin which uses flesh tone (pink/brown-ish). You can also set the location of both shadows. If you want a more subtle shadow, choose a colour closer to the colours in the material, if you want a pronounced shadow, do, make it darker. Reflex's strength, just like MToon is in being able to customize the toon ramp and seeing the results in unity immediately.

The other options are just the usual. Matcap/Additive Sphere, Emission, as well as masks for them, and a couple extra things at the bottom for effects like scroll that you don't need to put on.
