To all the mods of this new discord you say you'll let us decide how things will go foward so please actually allow us by giving true freedom of vote with more than just the options you selected yourself with a fair system. hello I'm trying to fix it

my priorities at the moment are going to be
1) rules as reasonably close to 4chan rules as possible
2) less tension between jannies and users
3) high level of community input and consideration about rules and direction of the discord

I'm going to try to avoid some previous mistakes and we're going to have a ruleset as close to 4chan as possible and come up with a mod team that everyone can be happy with.

I think that one thing has been proven. K3rn went to delet the discord without talking to anybody about it out of the blue. Within an hour 150 anons already rushed back together and are rebuilding the thing. Agenda pushing idiots should not control, we want one, therefor there is one. The only moderators creating problems are gone now, so things are just going to go more smoothly. Thanks for leaving on a shit note, and deleting the discord like an asshole, any trust is now gone, and the trust in /vrg/ has grown seeing what they want.

My suggestion, let's make a constitution for the new discord which sets the basis for what the mods roles are and the community is ex. We are a 4chan community, you can't let outsiders in

One of the things about 4chan is that anyone can come here and post anything they want. The message is then evaluated based on its content and not the user making the statement.

If we're trying to run a discord server as close to 4chan as possible, shouldn't there be a low barrier to entry?
How do you reconcile the idea that 4chan is very open with the idea that our community should be closed off to anyone we deem to be outsiders? This is a general question that goes beyond discord really. It applies to the meetups and any of the games that we play.

That said, I firmly believe that the decision to have a discord was made early last year when certain people went off and started making inner circle discords. A community discord is better than having inner circle discords.

Discord, by its nature as a social network, draws in outsiders. That's what it's supposed to do as a social network.
