been seeing some weird shit about the length of Stormland. Basically the tutorial is 6 hrs. Then the real game starts. It's about a 20+ free exploration unlocking each zone with some random fetch/kill missions thrown in. It's like a VR Far Cry game. This is the part that repeats and is randomized every week. If you finish the campaign within the week, next time it resets, your difficulty goes up.

The idea of the FBT choker is definitely interesting and seemingly feasible. But will it actually take hold? The aesthetic of it being a choker might sit OK with degenerates, but for other people, wearing something that looks like a choker, especially if it's made by Facebook, is like telling them that they're literally a slave to corporate. I can give more than a hint, I'll walk you through it;

I recorded a couple seconds of video of the original image using Bandicam (lol) in "Rectangle on screen" mode, set to the correct image dimensions just to avoid having to trim at a later step.
I took that video and put it through Avidemux and split it into individual frames. The reason I did this is so that I could easily corrupt each frame without having an influence on any other frames in the sequence, where corrupting the video data itself would have had that result.
I used a script called JPGCorrupt to inject sequences of text taken from this thread into those frames and then I put it all back together as a video.

I took that corrupted video and I ran it through "Cathodemer" as a looped signal source file, keyed out slightly darker brown colours so that anything else would pop through, introduced some artificial pixel mask degradation to knock off anything sharp and started setting up a synthesizer pattern which would generate the scrolling colours and effects seen in the final clip.

I took that final clip and put it into Xmedia Recode, wherein I simply converted it from an avi to a weebum for chanposting and here we are.

There was a second version of that clip, never posted, where instead of using the separate-frame-JPGCorrupt method I instead took the original video clip and used the command line tool "ByeByte" in shuffle mode to try and reach a similar effect, and while I love that tool greatly it just wasn't working out. But I recommend ByeByte as one of your tools if you have an interest in that sort of thing.

Using bandicam wasn't critical, I could have just imported the still image into a video track in Sony Vegas or some other video editing suite but I was being lazy.
Cathodemer is a powerful but temperamental tool, the most important thing you can do is make sure you set your "Virtual CRT Resolution" and "Render Screen > Set Window Size" to the correct dimensions for whatever you are working on. This will save you a lot of effort in the long run. Sometimes it won't boot up in certain virtual resolutions and then all you can do is throw your hands up in silent prayer and pick a resolution larger in the same aspect ratio until it does work. If you're working on multiple sources in the same project then you'll want to be doing that anyway.

That should be pretty much everything, getting the final outcome you want is a matter of learning what all the knobs do and just experimenting.

So i've been dicking around with Bigscreen Beta mobile streaming with my Quest and i've encountered a strange thing.
I was watching a stream on twitch not long ago and I noticed the framerate was a little rough, so I turned down the super sampling on my quest and that didn't help, it made everything look like absolute shit but didn't help the framerate at all (Of note, the environment wasn't lagging at all, not in the slightest, only the stream). So then I turned off AA and everything went to absolute shit. The video stream started obliterating itself, like i-frames were being dropped, the audio started glitching out and goingn out of sync. It was hell.

I turned everything back on/up and it was fixed.

What's that about?
Anyone with a Quest and Bigscreen Beta able to test that out on their system for me? Stream something from your computer to your personal room and then turn off AA.

Turn this on if you have problems with Pavlov footsteps.

Someone mentioned it in a previous thread so I tried it. Turns out footsteps were basically broken for me before. I had no idea they were meant to be audible across half the map. The range was extremely short, they were barely audible, and frequently sprinting enemies would be completely silent.
