Don't use adhesives directly on the lighthouse. Between the weight and vibration, it's going to fail.
If you don't have a hard mount or a tripod/brace with a camera screw on it, this is what I use and it's served me well since 2016.

In that case, there's a Popular on your platform category in the Worlds list and I'd suggest just world hopping there. Try out inserting that extra foam for the back of the Index.
Also, when putting it on, first put it on, then adjust the wheel to the back, then adjust the strap on the top. The headset is supposed to have its center of weight on the top, not the sides or back/front.
Lastly, try out not fastening the wheel to the back too much. The headset shouldn't fall off, yes, but you don't need to make it super tight at the start. You'll get the hang of optimal settings that don't hurt (much?) after a while.

I'm not convinced that'll ever make sense. You want isolation for a VR headset since you don't want the real world leaking in, but you want the exact opposite from an AR device. The hardware needs to be designed for fundamentally different things, trying to make it do both is going to make it worse.
The glasses are cool though, from what I saw skimming through the video, it seems like they're on par with Hololens 2 and way less bulky. Hopefully they'll be able to fix the problems with using them outside,even if I'm not sure I'd actually want to do that.

Not him, but this depends on the display/passthrough technology. AR and VR fortunately are so similar in the actual base technologies they use that there is not much difference other than in the displays. Under the logic that eventually we will reach perfect AR displays and perfect VR displays, there is no reason why we would want to limit ourselves to using a VR display anymore, since perfecting an AR display means that it can go opaque on a per-pixel level, which then means we're already in VR if the entire screen goes opaque. Alternatively, we can perfect passthrough, and along with a perfect VR display, it would also work as an AR headset, and there might be no reason to use an AR display anymore. Depends on how display technologies advance. If we don't reach those points then what will happen is that we'll get headsets that focus on and do one thing better than the other, but can still do both relatively well. It's reasonable what could happen is a headset with an interchangeable display, one made for VR, and one made for AR. AR and VR headsets will standardize on split architectures where the processing power, battery, etc, is separate from the display anyway, whether they place it in a unit you pouch somewhere, or on the back of your head on the strap.

I was thinking about buying the Reverb G2 but just remembered that even if I do, it's not going to massively change how I use VR or how much I enjoy it already. I've already played all the games I want to and there are none that I want to keep playing. I doubt many games I truly want to play will come out in the next year or even two, and you know that's probably true for both VR and flat screen. When will games ever reach the pure concentration of fun that was the industry 20 years ago? I almost don't want to even touch VR hardware until that happens or when headsets have the software, ease of use, and comfort to use as a monitor replacement. Honestly the huge player count was a mistake, the map doesn't seem to be able to handle it and it's absolutely murdering people's clients.

The map was really beautiful and well put together and perfectly themed but things to learn for events like this one that are expected to have a lot of people.
1. Have more than one instance. So if that means organizing two DJs then do it.
2. No pickup-able global physics props that adds unnecessary overhead to world syncing.
3. No mirrors because apparently they can cause memory leaks just by being on the map.
