It's more of a racing sim. Like for actual racing on tracks. Better driving physics and all allegedly. AC is way more moddable and in turn more fun I'm sure. AMS2 with the DLC is also 80 bucks which is a scam. You can unlock the DLC with creamapi, but I'm not sure if I wanna do that. Downloading right now to try it out. Don't forget to get the openvr fsr mod for better performance. As for ACC, people say it's the best sim, but the VR performance is a struggle, and the game is just GT cars.

I bought an Oculus Rift about a week ago and like a dumbass, I used the foam facepad that came with it.
Now I have massive red rash around my eyes and my forehead is covered in like an acne rash that burns like a motherfucker.
I've bought a leather replacement facepad in the meantime but what I want to know is, what the FUCK are they putting in these fucking facepads to induce this sort of shit? I've looked at the fucking facepad and there's like glittery shit in it which make me believe that there's either fibreglass or something like fibreglass in there.
Does anyone else have experience with Rift facepads giving them a rash? I know the Quest 2 facepad got recalled but I can't see anything about Rift facepads.

A small bug we will have to work with for all trick or treaters is pic related.
Basically VRchat's built-in remote player collider is a small sphere below the player (usually touching the ground).
So for candy slapping you have to slap the bottom of people.
IF they are playspacing and floating up you have to hit the ground sorta below their head.

You will know if you hit the other player's collider if it spawns candy particles and you hear a sound.


We'll make the candies into lolipop sticks so you can swing at people's lower foot to give them candies.

Yeah basically somewhere down the line, they completely redid the whole thing to focus specifically on creating a modable sandbox for other people to create their waifus in. So, according to many r*dditors who just tried this, people who used their Facebook account for Oculus can now ask customer support and separate their Facebook account, so it'll be like an Oculus account again. And old Oculus accounts can now be used on the Quest 2 if you have one. I haven't seen anyone comment yet about whether they've tried making a new user (non-FB linked) yet, however.

Interesting if it's happening just like that. We might be able to, like we used to, make fake accounts to set the device up much more easily, and then install things like Oculess or use other methods to limit FB tracking.

Can anyone offer any advice for my Quest and an issue i'm having with airlink suddenly?

Airlink used to just work fine for me, I had good long sessions using it to play various games like VRchat and blade & sorcery but for about the last week i've been having an issue where after a few minutes of use my actions would suddenly start to lag behind, the framerate doesn't drop, the game doesn't become unstable, but where I am looking (And therefore what is being rendered) and the position of my hands starts to gradually lag further and further behind until it gets so bad that there's a good ten seconds before what I do IRL is represented in what I am seeing in VR.

This is the correct option though I'd also add that throwing weapons like grenades and knives should be thrown on trigger release, not on press, even if the object was initially picked up with toggle grip. Pavlov honestly did it best. Toggle grip for picking up equipment, trigger for interactions and holding mags, press trigger to prime throwing and release trigger to throw.

Vive Pro. Index and Pro are the same resolution to my knowledge, so the difference is the technology of the screens. The Index probably works better for actually reading text, but I care too much about black colors to sacrifice the deep blacks of the Vive Pro LED for Index LCD clarity. Pimax uses CLPL, but I have no idea what that means at the moment, and the Vive Pro 2 is LCD like the Index.

Screen burn in can happen with LCD, by the way, which is why you would need to turn down the brightness regardless of the headset you use if you buy LCD. But the headsets with LED are the only ones that will provide deep contrast between white and black. By the way, I am not using my headset as a monitor by pure choice at the moment, but the VR space is great if you use sculpting programs in your workflow.

It runs like ass, but with some mods it can be very immersive in VR. It helps that it is the exact same game as the desktop version rather than being a separate VR port, so co-op with desktoppers and playing your save on the desktop version is very doable. I like playing it in VR at home, and continuing my progress flat when I'm traveling with my shitty laptop. It's worth a try if you have at least a 2000 series Nvidia card as DLSS does help things.

audio is still data that has to be processed. Vrc has a documented history of many people making sustained sound for a period of time causing performance drops. Singing happy birthday in a circle around someone would very often crash that person. It's not as bad now, but it still is a problem. thats why safety settings can mute voice too.
