I mean I don't think it's necessarily something to be congratulated for. I just don't enjoy it that much.
I find drinking in VR to be a lot less enjoyable because of how much VR increases your tolerance. The feeling of not feeling all that buzzed and taking your headset off and realizing you're very drunk is something that always annoyed me.
I also think that once you get to the level of blackout drunk, it's such a waste. Having time that you don't remember is just wasteful.
I don't fault people in /vrg/ for drinking, I think most people enjoy alcohol and that's fine for adults to enjoy. I do worry that some people overdo it. One of the dangers of drinking VR is that you're typically alone and the people you're drinking with in VR can't help you if something happens. That's a bit dangerous in my eyes.

We did a test of bigscreen, it's shit. You can't just put urls in, have to screenshare. The video player is scuffed with screensharing, lots of tearing and artifacts. No volume control, and locomotion doesn't exist so you are locked into a seat and the snap turning prevents you from facing the way you want to face.
It was physically painful during the test, you would think they learn something from the way people do it in vrchat since it's supposed to be their specialty

search folder for __data
sort by size, largest to smallest. anything above 100mb is probably a world and can be ignored. copy everything under 100mb to another folder.
for me, i have 650 files under 100mb. if you knew roughly what day you saw the avatar, you can sort by date and select a day or two worth of cache rather than the entire thing.
if you already have the avatar in your favourites and its not private, clear vrchat cache and re-open the game and load the avatar, that way your cache will have like, 4 files in it instead of hundreds. this will save you a fuckton of time.

when you copy to another folder, select "let me decide for each file", then tick both boxes so all files copy across, then the files will look like __data (2), __data (3) etc
sort this folder by size largest to smallest

personally i add 10 of these so i can search 10 vrcas at a time
put in the path to 10 different vrcas. \001.vrca, \002.vrca etc
then hit "play" and look at the scene tab.
you can toggle visiblity on each avatar to see if the avatar you want is in the scene
then to figure out which vrca file is the avatar you want you can toggle each loadbundle component on/off to narrow it down until you find the right one

Nice try but CVR doesn't store assets in the same way as VRC. CVR caches assets in an encrypted form and pulls access keys from the server based on what access you're allowed. Ripperstore client just pulls private avatars because VRC doesn't bother to check if you should be able to or not.

FYI, to those looking at VRChat:
it's trivial to get re-programmed on there by malicious users (spoilers: there's tons of them, the CIA on that game do not like anime avatars and will drop MKULTRA programming in a world you're hosting and use exploits they know about to get into your system.) One of my friends got a re-programming by one of the CIA "handlers" and Norton caught it. otherwise he would have never known. All because you can drag and drop ANY file into a world, and if you're hosting it caches on your local PC, and it can be cached on anyone's computer who connects.
I wouldn't trust these fuckers. The company operates like a shady indian bollywood front because it is one.
The CEO is embattled against the call center team, which is exclusively CIA, most of them aren't even government. But are just handlers of the main devs and each other. The "handlers" are useless as hell and have no idea how the platform works because they too were "hired" (they work for free!) in because they are also fuckbuddies of the dev team. They also act like the secret police for the dev team. It's what you could expect from a CIA false-flag software project.
You're better off with REDACTED or waiting for a better vr platform to come out.
pictured: the project raised $500 million and the CIA devs sabotaged that because at the end of the day, they want to keep it small and CIA only. This is them cheering over "winning" and now they are begging for money on a secondary patreon to the main one, all while there hasn't been an update since November. yes I have been doing this for ages, as i run everything off debian on a windows or other linux vms.
I have given VRChat its own dedicated vm, given how poorly and vulnerable the code is. Look up "vm gpu passthrough" or check out r/VFIO they have a lot of resources where you can set up a vm that gets the gpu passed through allowing to run anything with just a 5% loss in performance max.

I'm keeping an open mind regarding alternatives to vrc. I think that as we do progress through this little story arc, it's important that people keep open minds towards new platforms but also view them with skepticism.
I suggested yesterday that I'd be open to trying chillout vr and within minutes groomers started sliding into my DMs telling me how great it was. Which kinda chilled my added toward it a little bit but I'll still give it a fair shake.
I think going forward we just need to approach the issue without bias and without brand loyalty. Just determining what's best for the group without any bias towards one platform or another.

Vrchat may continue to be the best fit for us in terms of usability. I agree that vrchat has a lot of faults and I'm definitely not happy with the devs at the moment, but that really doesn't matter if cvr isn't stable.
