I like how Chillout has no clip flight mode available. And you can press numpad 5 to enable it quickly too, no more floor or collider nuisances if you turn it on.

Expressions and toggles work but it takes a bit of wiring up, there's also a script people have used that works. For bones the game has dynamic bones, didn't even need to use the converter script, just reset hair, breast, and cloth bones up myself in less than two minutes.

Is there a 3.0+ USB cable that actually works with the Quest 2? The one I ordered is false advertised as a 3.0, it's only 2.0. Everything else seems to follow the same thing, and I'd really rather not pay upwards of £80 for the official cable.

I was messing around in https://hubs.mozilla.com/ recently and I'm pretty impressed with their progress. They've added a lot more environments and some (very basic) avatars now, and the spatial voice chat still works fine. It also has fun neos-like capability to drag in images and videos from your computer into the world, and you can synchronize playback of videos/streams. And unlike neos it actually runs well and isn't painful to look at.

The main issue I found is webVR support in browsers has been severely neglected for the last two years. I can't get firefox to connect to steamVR at all, only a clean profile of jewgle chrome worked. If anybody knows a reliable setup for PC + webVR these days, I'd be interested to hear. If I get something working reliably, I'll try to host some sort of meetup/watch session in hubs.

I finally got firefox in vr to work. From a clean profile, you have to go to about:config and enable `dom.vr.enabled`, which is false by default, then hubs and demos like https://mixedreality.mozilla.org/hello-webxr/ will work. However, the bindings on index controllers are fucky, triggers are bound to grips, parts of the trackpad work like vive, real unfortunate. But I also found that microshaft edge of all browsers does actually work in VR too, probably because it is just a chrome reskin. As long as you have steamVR running, i was able to hit the "join in VR" button and reliably get hubs to show up on the headset. So either edge, or chrome on a clean profile is your best bet for PCVR I think.

I went to their little dev meetup for a while, and it does work pleasantly even in VR. One of them was livestreaming some blender dev right from their browser, and others were playing with a giant skull model. Pretty cozy. Unfortunately even on chrome/edge the index controllers are still a little weird. any force at all on the grip registers as a grab, so unless you're careful you can fling stuff across the map without knowing. But other than that very tolerable, I'd recommend trying it out if you're looking for social VR that's both not EAC'd and has working servers at the moment.
