It's not my thing, but meet-and-greets are fine in my book, if for no other reason than to organize with people for other events. If I was 10 or so years younger I'd probably be more jazzed about it. For younger people, I think there's a unique allure to engaging people in VR that traditional games and social media simply lack.

Sadly, my dopamine receptors are mostly burnt out and the whimsy of meeting new people on the internet and playing with them took place back in 2006~2014. Sounds good then, it's an excellent introduction for this kind of money. When you get to test it, move the cable around where it clips to headset and check if there's no noise on the screen, that's the first point of failure for CV1.

Also, make double sure Oculus software still supports CV1. Pretty sure it does, back in Rift S times I could still use my old ass DK2, but it's always better to double-check.

It was decent. Maybe its the jaded realist in me but i feel like i didn't get to make a inpression on more people id likely be interacting with rather than people ill never see ever again. lietchy couldn't handle the main instance so i moved to the lesser one, so that was the only thing i disliked about eu fbf. I was too drained from 5-6 hrs of eu to make it to the burger one, which i felt like hosted too late anyway, like 5-6pm est couldve been better: combine the two timezones more or less.
