Wasnt able to finish blade and sorcery near launch because real life shit, avoided this place to avoid spoilers. Well there wasn't much to spoil once you fight the rock monster.
What did everyone think about it? I think it needed a bit more content even in the scope of "barebones unfinished indie game", like more entrances and exits to dungeons, and some kind of final boss. Mixed crystal skills are missing on some tiers. I think there's no proper stealth system and I'm glad I didn't play that way. I only tried gravity and mind, and I have to say gravity bubble and gravity staff manipulation are absurdly overpowered for only requiring 3 major crystals. I can fight hoards of elite enemies.
Overall I've put a lot of hours in the game and it's really good. But a skeleton crew on it while they work on B&S 2 would be nice.

Two months ago, I interviewed the creator of the VR game Ghosts of Tabor Scott Alrbight who ran a league called VREL. VREL ran a tournament event of another VR game called Contractors VR. Caveman Studio Community Leader Lon ,a team Strive competitor, told Scott Caveman would give VREL $10k to add to Season 1's prize pool. But the money never showed up. Strive won the tournament, winning $2,500.
Scott also alleges Lon ignored cheat tickets made by multiple players, league organizers, and discord volunteers. And that he did not make the head developer Kong Cu aware of these cheats, as he asked directly.

It's not exactly what you want since it's a turn-based board game, but I do like Demeo. The classes are pretty unique, and if you and your friends can avoid the sweaty optimal play trap where one guy just tells everyone else what to do, it's a fun tactical dungeon crawl; not incredibly deep, but polished. My unique visited world count is well over 4 digits comfortably and I've got approaching 1k in vrcx favorites alone plus the 400 in my vrc+ favorites. Spend more time finding where to find more worlds and you'll be surprised at how much exists. get familiar with the thing first. Depending on from which headset you come, you might need to "relearn" certain controls.
After that, there are a LOT of free trials on the meta store, I'd say knock yourself out and play those! If you can, place Half Life Alyx on SteamVR (still the most polished, yet not perfect thing for VR).
Make a conscious effort to "feel" if the default strap is good enough for you, or if you need something else (same goes for mic and speaker quality)

Wireless > Wired on quest due to the cable also being a compressed video feed. Make sure your computer can output enough power over USB or else you'll be draining the battery plugged in. Better to get a mobile battery pack to stick in a pocket (lest your new strap comes with one.

There's only one wired method and that's the built in Meta link which also uses the oculus/meta pc app. It has it's own wifi version with airlink but it's worse than VD or SL.
PC Pavlov is in a bad state but still playable on weekends or during EU/NA prime time. /vrg/ plays it regularly with decent turnout.
Contractors is good. It's VR call of duty multiplayer with lots of mods and crossplay with quest so the servers aren't dead.

You can only connect on a wire via Meta Quest Link, which involves installing the relevant app on your computer.
Pavlov is mainly carried by PS4 crossplay. A good time to practice your aim and have fun with other gamemodes before getting wiped by the five year search and destroy (defuse in counter strike) games on Tuesdays. Breachers is the rainbow six of VR, janky 5v5 attack/defend with gadgets, can be fun but again not that big a crowd. Contractors is personally my favourite but we've dropped it recently from Friday rotations due to some arse wipe that keeps joining and hacking/mic spam. Good for CoD Zombies and more casual gaming, gunsmoke and charm mod adds a bunch more modern guns. Also has some single player/co-op multiplayer game modes built in which can be a nice time filler and good again for aim practice/fun. Fishing is fun, the motion controls make it more so. Game comes with a built in web browser so you can stick on some music or something on youtube and chill out. The meta/occulus/quest store operate on a similar refund system as Steam. You can refund a game if your play time is under two hours and it's within 14 days of purchase, so you can use that as a sort of demo for things you want to try.

Streaming eats more VRAM, and running out is really the only thing that will make things unplayable.
the most common 8GB is flying very close to the sun and you will experience hitting that ceiling, resulting in a choppy unplayable mess.
Nvidia does have the better video encoder, but AMD gets you more vram without having to go 3090/4080. Nvidia does also have a lot more toys, ( AI, cuda, dlss ), so it is often the better choice if you care about that stuff.
For a decent experience, on the cheap'ish, I would recommend the 12/16gb 3060ti/3080ti/4060ti models for Nvidia, or 6700xt/6800xt/6900xt/6950xt for AMD, depending on your budget. Keeping in mind that everything is honestly too fucking expensive anyway.
You may also be able to pick up a 2080ti for cheap, which comes with 12gb and is honestly still quite capable. That's probably your best cheap bet.
