Those smart cluster bombs are pretty cool. No idea they had all those animated parts. The spectator camera is pretty dramatic with its shots too. It struggles a little bit with actually looking at the target when it gets hit but all of this is just setting it to flyby and follow missile. I think if I'm really going to get some glory shots I'd have to swap to follow target a few seconds after dropping a bomb so I can get pov you're going to die footage.

it certainly helped that there was a big VR Metaverse bubble for a while, but it really hasn't been profitable at all since 2018. it's actually probably in the best self-sustaining position it's ever been in (investor money was more, but is very fickle), so it's unlikely it's going to crash and burn suddenly within the next year at minimum. If anything the future seemed more uncertain at the end of 2024 than now. I have no real reason to believe the game is having financial issues currently.

I think the problem there is simply the same as it ever was. Their shit ass spaghetti code. And also ui devs who clearly don't know what the fuck they are doing. They do really have a chance to do similar to booth but direct. Encourage model makers to make customizable models, and then much like booth, make it so if you buy items like the watch, or some other thing, there are versions for specific avatars.

Also imo they are sitting on a gold mine when it comes to advertising. Most "content creator tm" maps already have ads in them that people have paid for. Vrchat could copy this. Remember when vrchat used to actually make it's own maps? They need to start doing that again. And then they can copy that system. But instead of paying popcorn palace on patreon or however that works, you pay vrc.

All of the explo hosts from different timezones don't spend a week to prepare for anything, we all mostly passively watch for interesting maps that get posted in a few places and slap them into a playlist we drop randomly assuming we aren't just dropping random stuff off the new list in game. That said interesting maps do not release as often as you'd probably expect and any of those hosts can tell you that it is actively difficult many weeks to find enough interesting maps for just one 2-4 hour session every week for years at a time especially when the timezones try to avoid overlapping too much since there is crossover.
