I believe I heard that light sources act similar to mirrors and multiply draw calls. If a spotlight hits 20 mats and turns it to 40 or 60, oh well. But if it hits 200 and turns it to 400 or 600, that is much more significant.

If you're trying to get the blush and stuff working, only solution I know of is to atlas them separately and play around with the particle shaders. Some anons have had luck with old fashioned cubed fade, I have not. What I use is vertex lit blended for my eye for emission, then mobile>particle>multiply for blush.

According to what someone else said, Oculus forgot to countersign the files, which lets them work after the expiry date, so it's not a problem of updating the expiry date necessarily. Pretty bad mistake as we're seeing here but not something permanently damaging. Also if someone gets these errors, then wouldn't they go online to Oculus' website or customer service to search for a solution? Since this is a problem for everyone, Oculus will probably make it easily visible upon searching. Every new install and repair install using their installer should be fixed by then too.

For those of you experiencing the "wahh patch didnt work" bug, you have to close all the software via task manager related to oculus, go to windows flag right click it search for "run"

in run box type
"services.msc"
Look for the oculus service (there should be two, library on top. im referringto the bottom one)

Make sure to manually right click and start it. This seems to fix the issue

I think Vermintide 1 got a VR mode but I'm not totally sure and there's payday 2 VR as well. Subnautica can run in VR if you like deep ocean spoops and Redout and Race the Sun both have VR options, although Redout is a dead as fuck racing game.

Close but not quite. Site does callbacks to Steam, so it's only going to show what steam has listed as VR. ATS has an oculus mode but it's not listed in the VR section and doesn't have related tags.

I appreciate the effort though. I realize it's a weird request. I'm just trying to limp by on this bad old desktop. I figure anything that came out "before" VR that now has VR should run fine on my bucket.
