I also said I would *probably* make it better. In my own subjective opinion, I would absolutely make something like that game better for someone like myself, since I would just want to fly above a world with biomes and shit on the ground. This is probably already do-able with Minecraft VR, but with the VR game I play, I could make the game in maybe a month. The broomstick alone with flying, could probably be done in about 3 days, and the VR game I play allows you to import Minecraft saves, so my only job would basically be to make the broomstick, since the other 27 days would just be making beautiful maps. I could then just import an archive of beautiful Minecraft saves to explore on a lazy broomstick with a radio on it.

I almost want to do this with someone, but my drive to do stuff like this with other people is near zero. I kind of have a small—very small—spark of interest in doing this with one other person, for the only reason that I would get to be Jiji, I would get to control the radio, but the other person could do the broom shit. I like being on the passenger side of a car.

Most importantly: Head based locomotion, turn that shit on.
Then check the safety settings, turn off the baby mode comfort settings

Also, VR is (even though it is much more known nowadays) still very niche. This means that you can't really speculate exactly when new shit is coming out, as you can do with consoles, GPUs, smartphones etc.

It all comes down to preference:
Are you in a position RIGHT NOW to afford propper VR? Are you interested enough in buying into VR (and the eco-system of some headsets)? And so on.
Even if a new iteration of a headset comes out (for example a Index 2 hahahahaha) the "older" headset will still work and is still functional. It is also pretty reasonable to assume that during the next 2-3 years there will only be "sidegrades" as >>349119958

Vive Pro 2 has better blacks, and overall better coloring since it is LED versus LCD. I can also say my Vive Pro is a very comfortable headset, I am able to wear it for hours without it getting too uncomfortable. You need to keep in mind that the Index HMD gets HOT. Do not listen to anybody that says that the Index heat does not bother them. You need to seriously consider whether or not a hot HMD on your face could be a problem for you. One of the other big selling points of the Vive Pro for myself was the fact that it does not get hot at all, only slightly warm on the exterior. The heat is completely unnoticeable when worn. I'm using VR since DK2 up to this day, and i'm only leaving it alone when i'm extremely involved in something else (new flat game, projects, irl shit, you name it). It's endless for me, sim racing is #1 infinite use, but i can also replay same vr titles over and over again because simple act of "doing" things makes every game way more fun than you'd expect. Shooters are also obvious thing, using your arms to shoot changes shooting game into entirely diifferent thing from flat shooters, but for example smplest turd of a sword fight arena game that is b&s becomes kerbal-tier creativity game when you can use your weapons to flip someone upside down or even to leverage yourself and climb somewhere. I also love chill value of it, sometimes i just put it on to calm myself down as i walk around some extremely comfy location, elite dangerous is also super comfy and repetitiveness of this game brings comfort to me in a way but then my joystick's trigger button started malfunctioning and i'm not super big on this game ever since. Every now and then i find another niche little vr port/game, checking it out, sometimes stuff's way more fun than you'd expect it to be. And most importantly, VRC is absolutely endless, content creation is very involving and fun, hanging out with people is a pleasure, and exploring other worlds is super comfy. I honestly and unironically love this tech, it brings all of my childhood dreams to me, this is what i thought vidya will be when i'll grow up, this is what i was imagining while playing early 3d era games, and this is what i've got as an adult. Could someone point me to a game with a good implementation of rays casted from an Oculus Quest 2 from an Oculus Quest 2 model in the player's hand?
